Skin Tanning

At Black Stag Tannery the entire tanning process is done by hand, from fleshing the skins to hand breaking and finishing.

We handle all animals including:

Tanning Process

The entire tanning process is done by hand, including fleshing. Black Stag Tannery use its own recipes and processes designed over time by our craftsmen.

… is a soft, supple skin with a crisp white, supple underneath. Perfect for a rug or wall hanging.

Mounting

Skulls can be mounted on individually made shields with the option of an engraved plague with your hunt information.

Shields can also be purchased individually for a DIY mount.

Our prices are determined by many factors including the size of the animal and the initial state of the skin. As the entire process is done by hand to our own recipes and processes the prices can vary.
